Toronto’s bold and proud 2SLGBTQIA+ lawn bowling society at Cosburn.

Cosburn Park Lawn Bowling Club is proud to host Toronto Rainbowlers, the city’s only lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lawn bowling society. Rainbowlers started in 2011, when a group of curlers in the Riverdale Gay Curling League decided they needed a complementary summer sport. At the time, Cosburn had no regular jitneys on Wednesday evenings, so that became the Rainbowlers regular LGBT bowling night.

In 2016, Toronto Rainbowlers launched Flip-Flop—a pairs tournament for 2SLGBTQIA+ lawn bowlers. Even though Flip-Flop is no longer the only 2SLGBTQIA+ lawn bowling tournament in North America—our friends in Halifax also host one—it remains North America’s Premier 2SLGBTQIA+ Lawn Bowling Tournament™.
