2. Challenge players
3. Play the challenge games
4. Keep challenging and playing!

The objective

Play one match—and score more set points—against every other player in the league.

Play starts July 14

Once someone’s name is on the list, you can challenge them. Get your games in before Sept 27.

Who can you challenge?

Anyone else in the league.

How to challenge another player

Challenge a player by phone, email, or in person. Arrange a mutually convenient game time, and play any time there are rinks available at the club.

Join the league and challenge other members to singles games. Play whenever you want

This year, we’re using a new matchup grid—and only your most recent result against each player counts. That means the best way to rack up points is to play as many different people as you can. The more opponents you face, the better your shot at hopping into the top spot.

Welcome to the 2025 Cosburn Park Singles League! Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or stepping onto the green for the first time, this league is all about friendly competition, smart strategy, and—most importantly—having fun.

Open exclusively to Cosburn Park members, it’s the perfect way to work on your game, connect with fellow bowlers, and make the most of summer at the club. To sign up, simply fill in the signup form, drop us an email at singlesladder@cosburnbowls.ca, or sign on the sheet in the clubhouse.

Games and Scoring

How to submit scores

  1. Use the tablet computer in the clubhouse to enter your score.
  2. Submit the form on cosburnbowls.ca. Just log in; the form link will be on your member dashboard.

Games

The games are played the same as they were last year. Four bowls each per end; three sets of four ends. You must play all three sets.

Think of each set as a four-end game.

Scoring

Closest bowls to the jack score as in any game, and most shots scored in the first 4 ends wins the set.

Your position is based on set points earned for all three sets, not your shots scored in the game.
