Toronto Rainbowlers

Cosburn Park Lawn Bowling Club is proud to host Toronto Rainbowlers, the city’s only lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lawn bowling society. Rainbowlers started in 2011, when a group of curlers in the Riverdale Gay Curling League decided they needed a complementary summer sport. At the time, Cosburn had no regular jitneys on Wednesday evenings, so that became the Rainbowlers regular LGBT bowling night.

In 2016, Toronto Rainbowlers launched Flip-Flop—a pairs tournament for LGBT lawn bowlers. It’s the first and, for now, the only LGBT lawn bowling tournament in North America.
